About

As you can probably tell, The Barracks is a World of Warcraft blog.

Why The Barracks?  Because my main (and most favorite) character is a warrior.  I love being a warrior.  I love killing things and taking all the hits.  I figured if I start a blog, it might end up a bit warrior-centric, and warriors hang out in the barracks.  Also, I’m not a big fan of squishy caster-types; I have a hunter alt, a shaman alt (mail FTW), and another warrior alt.  These are all classes that you would find in or around a barracks.  So… The Barracks it is.

If you’re here because you already play WoW, I hope you find my blog enjoyable.  If you’re here because you don’t yet play WoW but you want to, LEAVE NOW BEFORE YOUR LIFE IS CONSUMED!  Just kidding.

Maybe.

If you’re looking for scientific analysis of talent specilizations, mathematical calculations of weapon damage and crit chance, and other such in depth theorization, you won’t find any of it here.  I mainly play a dwarf warrior; I have neither the time nor the patience for such things.  I beat on things and I get beat on.  Math was never my strong point.  Besides, there are other blogs and resources out there that can give you that information much better than I could.

The Barracks is a place for me to collect my thoughts, ideas, and musings about World of Warcraft.  This is a place where I can share my love for the game with other likeminded people, and perhaps give some insight into what it takes to be a good warrior (and WoW player in general).

I hope you enjoy your stay here, and I hope you continue to visit.  Just be careful not to disturb that dwarf sleeping on the chair near the entrance; he can get a bit cranky, and his axe is pretty sharp.
